White Hot Glass Works
Photos of Our Workshop

We have completed our new mobile workshop. Although we seem to be continually tweaking the layout and functionality of the space. So far it is working out perfectly and we are very happy with it. We purchased a 6' x 12' Wells Cargo Tote Wagon that is 6' high inside. The funny thing about it is that it is 2' longer and 1' wider than the workroom we had in our garage for lampworking.

We insulated the walls, put vinyl on the floor, built the bench, added the wiring and installed a 340CFM fan directly in front of Bobby's torch. Bobby's workspace is pretty much setup the way she wants it, but Norm's still has some work to be done to it. The trailer is small so the exhaust fan in front of Bobby takes care of the fumes but we bought a smaller 240CFM fan that will go in front of Norm's torch. The 340CFM fan pulled so much air that we put it on a speed control and can dial the amount of air that we need. We also jacked up the trailer and set it on steel jackstands to provide a stable foundation for it.

Working in here is very comfortable and we have a shop that can follow us wherever we go. The reason we wanted to be mobile is that we have wanderlust. Currently we are living on our property on San Juan Island here in Washington State.

Hope you enjoy the photos, Norm and Bobby.
