Why do we know what we should do to make our job easier but procrastinate on the final outcome. Sometimes it takes years since we are just spending a few moments with the job that is hard and we are looking forward to the next step in the process. But sometimes that few moments get painful. Today was just one of those days. I have been struggling with the bronze sprues and just keep fighting them and also trying every other thing to cut them. I wasn’t comfortable with the methods that I had been using and knew that there was a quicker and easier way if I would just take the time and do it. Today I took the time to finally cut off the one handle of my bolt cutters and drill a hole into my bench. I apologized to my bench and drilled away. My bench has become a place where I spend most of my time and it takes a lot to just drill haphazardly into it. So that is one of the reasons it takes so long to rework the structure. Another reason is that I didn’t want to cut my bolt cutters because if I made a mistake and ruined them I would have to buy another pair. So; years later I find that it is “OK” to just do it ! ! ! Take my “late” word for it is really not such a big thing to just go for it. Oh; why do we procrastinate on things that we know are good for us in the long run. Here is the upside, my job is now so easy I have time to blog about it. Enjoy the pictures.
